Come out to the show and enjoy the day with your children. This event will be free.

This event has been made possible by the contributions from our local businesses and will be featured in the programs at the Spring Bash Benefit. So if you happen to pick up a program, and you see one of our sponsors, give them a pat on their back and let them know how much you appreciate their efforts.

SpringBash’09 is the second air show presented by Larry Fortenberry, Hospice of Marshall County~Shepherd’s Cove and the City of Albertville being held at the Albertville Regional Airport on May 16th, 2009. SpringBash’08 welcomed 15,000 attendees viewing motorcycles, cars and airplanes with acrobatic flying by Greg Koontz and Bill Werth netting Hospice of Marshall County~Shepherd’s Cove over $30,000 with no admission to the event.

This year’s air show is slated to be a much bigger event using last year’s success to build on. The organizers are planning for 25,000 attendees this year with a larger participation from the local government and civic organizations. The classic automobiles and motorcycle displays along with many vendors and an expanded Kids Area will be sure to please young and old! TL’s BBQ will be serving lunch and there will also be hot dogs, drinks and snacks all over.
The air portion of the SpringBash’09 will be unparalleled with world class formation flying Team RV, Gary Rower Vintage Airshows with his open cockpit Steerman, Bill Werth’s Pitts and stunning aerobatics and an L-29 Russian training jet. Our friends from Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana in their A-10’s will be doing low fly-by’s and many static and fill in aircraft will be on display including; B-25 bomber, C-130 transport, YAK’s, CH-47 Transport Helicopter, Blackhawk Helicopter, P-51 Mustang, F-4U Corsair, Hot Air Balloons and many others.

Gates will open at 10:00 am and airshow will end at 5:00 pm and again no admission is required for this event.
